So Many KAS Oriental Rug Styles to Choose From!
Say KAS oriental rug and the question will be "Which one?" That's because KAS offers so many oriental rugs to choose from. Kas imports oriental rugs that are both hand-made and machine-made for a wide range in the value of the rugs. Kas includes wool, polypropylene and cotton rugs in their collections.
Rao Yarlaggada founded KAS Oriental Rugs almost 25 years ago in 1981. Since then, his collection of rugs have has increased steadily over the years. Most of Kas handmade Persian rugs are imported from China or India. A modern collection, Valencia, is woven in New Zealand wool in New Zealand. Machine-made rugs are imported from Turkey and Belgium. Kas offers over 150 rug styles across different categories including a number of Oriental rug lines.
The KAS Imperial line offers a number of oriental area rugs including ones that showcase famous Persian patterns such as Nain, Sarouk, and Kashan. The Imperial line is made in a 95% wool and 5% silk combination. For more oriental rugs look at KAS' Noble line which showcases 100% wool rugs in styles recalling Agra (from India), or Bijar (known more for their tight weave than a specific woven motif), and Sarouks.
If you don't need another oriental rug, that doesn't mean you should pass KAS up. They also make a number of area rugs and throw rugs in other styles and materials. Lotus bamboo lines offers nine different bamboo weaves and KAS has two Jute rug lines: Acoya and Barbados. Acoya has more traditional motifs stenciled while Barbados showcases the trendier tropical look that is so popular right now.
